São Rafael Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the municipality of Albufeira. Its sandy beach framed by cliffs and the ocean makes it a welcoming and quiet beach, where you can see several imposing rocky examples, the result of the joint action of the force of the sea on the cliffs and the rainwater.

And, when the transparency of the water allows it, we can catch a glimpse of the mysterious outline of some submerged rocks, which shelter the wealth of marine life ready to be discovered by those who, wearing mask and fins, venture out on a tour of the abundant underwater world of this region.

São Rafael Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag and is qualified as a “Gold Beach”, certifying its environmental quality and protection by marine biodiversity.
